What is Do DA Day?Do DA Day is one of the two annual events sponsored by the NCDA Intergroup. As the name suggests, the focus is on the tools of the program: on how you do DA. Intended to give newcomers a total immersion experience, Do DA Day features Pressure Relief Meetings and Recordkeeping sessions as well as workshops, treasure maps, and keynote speakers. Each year the speakers focus on a particular theme. How Can I Get Involved? We need your help to make Do DA Day work! Volunteer or get your home group involved in one of these areas: publicity, set up, signage, decorations, registration, literature sales, PRG sign-up, treasure-mapping organization, refreshments, sound system, evaluations, clean up. What if I want to be a speaker? Please read the Speaker Requirements for NCDA Events before volunteering to lead a workshop or be a keynote speaker. How do I get there?Follow the directions provided by SF State or on the back of the flyer. On-site parking is $5 for the day. Carpool with another recovering debtor and enjoy fellowship before and after the event. How much will it cost me?There is a suggested donation of $15 pre-registered and $20 at the door. No one is turned away for lack of funds, but if you can't contribute cash, please consider volunteering for an hour. The campus parking lot charges $5 for the day. Carpooling with other DA members means easier as well as cheaper parking. How much does it cost Intergroup to put this event on?It costs approximately $2000 to host Do DA Day. (Exact figures will be available from NCDA Intergroup after the event is over.) Can I buy DA literature there?Yes. All current conference-approved DA literature will be for sale. Will I be able to get anything to eat?Coffee, tea, and water will be served. There will be an hour break for lunch. Pack your own lunch or visit a nearby restaurant or one of the campus snack bars. What if I don't like Do DA Day?
