Group Events

These events are sponsored by NCDA member groups. Send details of your group's event to the Web Guardian in order to get it listed here. With ample lead time, you might also consider sending a notice of your event to the Prosperity Times Editor for inclusion in the next issue.

Some Event Guidelines

Before deciding to sponsor an event, and before submitting it for listing on this website, groups should consider the following:

Is the event in keeping with DA's Primary Purpose (to stop debting one day at a time and to help other compulsive debtors to stop incurring unsecured debt)?

Does the event adhere to Traditions 6 and 10?

6. A D.A. group ought never endorse, finance, or lend the D.A. name to any related facility or outside enterprise, lest problems of money, property, and prestige divert us from our primary purpose.

10. Debtors Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues; hence the D.A. name ought never be drawn into public controversy.

This means, among other things, that although we may find other 12-step programs and non-DA products, services, and literature helpful in our personal recovery, they do not have a place at DA-sponsored events.
